HPI Turbine Control Products
In late 2004 HPI began development on what was then a novel concept – a turbine controller based on Programmable Logic Control (PLC) based architecture. Today, HPI provides off-the-shelf turbine controller products that fit within the same 19” rack space and offer a matching back plane for receiving existing D and J cable terminations. The HPI replacement turbine control products give 10 years of additional life to existing turbine control systems at a fraction of the cost of the original equipment, while being straightforward to trouble shoot and modify programming. The new plug-and-play controller decreases installation costs as it eliminates the need to rewire existing control panels to operate with the newer technologies.
