HPI Services For The Power Generation Market

HPI provides several additional services for power producers around the globe. HPI’s commercial and site experience allows us to seamlessly integrate the various components of any power project (financing, engineering, design, procurement) under our Project Management team, regardless of whether the end user is a private, government, or joint entity. Due to the fact that HPI remains agile and flexible, we can meet each project’s longer life span and more sophisticated requirements by structuring our team specifically for that undertaking.

Turnkey Power Plant Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC)

HPI designs and builds 'turnkey' power plants, including the provision of operations and maintenance services after the sale. Projects are offered with a complete Engineer, Procure and Construct (EPC) supervisory capability, and the management of all engineering disciples and construction trades (EPCM). HPI specializes in a modular plant design that enables plants to be built rapidly, fulfilling fast track project obligations. HPI has executed complete power plant projects in as little as six months from contract signin to commissioning.

The facility can be designed to utilize a variety of frame and/or aero-derivative gas turbine generator sets for simple or combined cycle operation. Alternatively, provisions for conversion to combined cycle operation at a later date can be built into the plant design.Additionally, HPI can install steam turbines from a variety of OEM’s. HPI has experience installing gas turbine generators utilizing a variety of fuel sources including natural gas, #2 Diesel, and alternate liquid fuels. HPI can provide the following additional equipment:

  • Inlet Chilling Systemsfor greater combustion efficiency
  • Enhanced Air Emissions Control Technology including DLE/ DLN Systems or Water Injection
  • Water Treatment Plants for Process and/or Human Consumption

All required balance of plant equipment and plant auxiliaries are included for reliable and safe production of electricity. Rotating equipment will include appropriate enclosures where required for weather protection and noise containment.

Additional Services Offered by HPI

HPI can offer a variety of professional services for ongoing projects that can benefit the end user by increasing the reliability of their existing equipment. This includes utilizing our Mechanical Group personnel to completely rehabilitate turbines and upgrade/repair components to return turbine efficiencyand performance to original levels. We can perform advanced diagnostic services such as DLE Mapping to increase the efficiency and lower emissions. Furthermore, we can provide professional site evaluations to provide the end user with a comprehensive survey of plant needs and condition. In many regions of the world, the installation of reliable sources of electric power for localized use remains essential. At HPI, we have attained considerable experience in the design and construction of standby power plants. Using the latest technology, our power solutions generate - on demand - the required standby power to ensure the continuous supply of reliable electric power for specific localities (isolated towns, captive power plants) where connection to the national distribution grid is not possible or impractical.
