Jerry Wheelwright

Jerry Wheelwright is Vice President of HPI and holds overall responsibility for the technical and commercial development of the full range of automation solutions at HPI. With over 20 years experience working in the area of control design, Mr. Wheelwright experienced rapid advancement with Hawker Siddeley Dynamics Engineering (HSDE) where he was a key member of the design group responsible for the development of the Ship board Machinery and Propulsion systems and then transferring departments to later develop the HSDE Gas Turbine fuel governors and control systems. Mr. Wheelwright continued to prove essential to the development of gas turbine control projects and held positions as Project Manager, Principal Engineer, Operations Manager and Vice President.
Mr. Wheelwright got his start with a Bachelor of Science honors degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Brighton. He then worked in the design department at the British Aerospace Anti Ship weapons facility specializing in real time system design before joining HSDE. Following the acquisition of HSDE by Vosper Thorneycroft (VT Controls), Mr. Wheelwright continued to excel and was appointed Vice President, a position he held until joining HPI in 2003.
