HPI Awarded Arizona Turbine Repair and Upgrade Project

HOUSTON (August 1, 2017) – Houston-based turbomachinery services provider, HPI, announced today that it has received a contract to provide a complete major overhaul on their gas turbine generator set and a complete control system upgrade including the installation of an actuated electronic driven fuel valve for one of the world’s largest mining companies.

The project will enable the client to benefit from a single company performing both the mechanical overhaul and repair, as well as upgrading their control system, providing them a single source solution to meet their total gas turbine needs. The new control system will increase efficiency, functionality and reliability for this mission critical piece of equipment.

The project began early May 2017, and is estimated to be completed the beginning of October 2017.

The Arizona turbine controls upgrade project is just one of a number of projects recently awarded to HPI. Details on additional projects are expected to be announced soon.
